RONI HALL
MontanaWild1800The summer after high school graduation, Roni worked two jobs to pay for nursing school. During the midnight shift as a waitress, a charismatic young man at the counter flirted with her for hours as he consumed seven cups of coffee.  Their first date was eventful enough to be a book itself! Thirty-seven years and two kids later, the love story continues. Just like her novels, life can’t be too simple and you must make it an adventurous ride!

Her favorite place to write is in her hammock at their small Michigan cottage where she literally dodges the feeding hummingbirds while being serenaded by the lake’s loons.  Besides writing, she loves Slow Rollin’ in Detroit and the combination of good food, better wine, and dear friends.

RANDY D PEARSON
RDP w Bedroom
Tell Me a Story - front cover only - Final.jpgRandy D Pearson, a DeWitt High School graduate from the class of 1985, has been displaying his creativity for as long as he can remember. Starting at an early age drawing comic strips and cartoon books, he quickly realized he enjoyed writing stories more than he did sketching.

When he discovered his other childhood passion, the Atari computer, everything came together. He spent many late nights typing stories, winning several writing contests in the process. His writing kicked into high gear in 2007 when he became a member of Writing at the Ledges. This Grand Ledge, Michigan based writing group helped him to turn his interesting ideas into well-crafted works of fiction.

Since then, Randy’s writing has been featured in several publications, including the Washington Square Review, Pets Across America: Volume 3, Small Towns: A Map in Words, Seasons of Life, Voices from the Ledges, Fiction 440: Volume 1, and Retrocade Magazine. His debut novel, Driving Crazy, was published nationally in 2015. It received rave reviews, both locally and internationally. His short story collection, Tell Me a Story, will be released April 23.

LAURIE SALISBURG
Profile-Image81d7240d9c80229b59e2c1d8244e82efElsie Michigan is my hometown, well, more accurately, my village.  It boasts one of the largest herds of milk cows in the world, and on a good day the wind is blowing south.

When I was only 16 God called me to be a stay-at-home-Mom. It has not always been easy, but I have obeyed that call. The call of God on my life has included teaching (both children and adults). Teaching others to love and serve the Lord is my passion. I have taught at least two generations of Sunday school kids.  I was a Sunday School Teacher for more than thirty years and a Children’s Pastor for over ten years. I have lived what I dreamed and loved every minute of my life!

There are many ways to serve God, and we serve God as a Foster Family as well. We have had the privilege of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with 28 foster children.

I serve the Lord with my writing as well. I write because I am compelled to put down on paper the inspiration that He gives. It is fun and crazy how He keeps ideas swirling around in my head! I have written Church Dramas, Children’s Stories, Song lyrics, Children’s Church Curriculum, and Church Policy Manuals.  I only write Christian material, and have made a firm decision to keep it that way.  All of my work contains scripture references because His words will always be more effective than mine.  My heart’s desire is to encourage other believers, and to introduce everyone I can to my friend Jesus.

EXIE SUSANNE SMITH

B1YQRLNNWNS._UX250_When I was 12 my life changed forever in one night. I knew I was going to have to grow up keeping a secret. That being I could hear and see things that other people couldn’t. I didn’t go in search of the dead, but it seems the dead have come in search of me.
In my book I talk about the growth of my gift. As time went on, what I thought was a single event, became more. This first event, a seriously creepy thing in my closet was now footsteps on the basement stairs. Over the next few months I was seeing hall way doors closing on there own, faces behind me in the reflection of mirrors, witnessing full body shadow people and more…

JUDITH WADE
smileWCBFrontCoverJudith Wade lives and writes in Eagle, Michigan.  She enjoys creating middle grades chapter books, especially stories with a little bit of fantasy–mermaids, ghosts and whatever else her imagination uncovers!  She loves oldies rock music, stained glass, playing in her garden, snuggling with her dogs, horseback riding and, of course, writing, and the next fun project is always just around the corner. She also loves nature, and is often at her most creative when she is taking her ex-racehorse out for an amble through the woods.
